Sharon Tuckers Weekly Style Secrets December 6, 2016 – Welcome December, it’s finally here! It’s a time for family and friends to come together and enjoy the festivities. I am always late getting myself organised for Christmas, and I promise myself every year “This year I will start earlier”, but it never happens. We can get caught up running around buying presents for everyone that we can easily forget ourselves. But there is one thing I am meticulous about is ensuring I have my beauty regime sorted so it’s one less job to worry about. I always book my hair, nail, and waxing appointments early so if you haven’t done it yet pick up the phone now! If I have events coming up I will always have my full makeup booked in as they can get so busy and you don’t want to miss out. It’s worth getting a makeup artist to apply your makeup for events/balls/weddings as it lasts the whole day and evening without touching it up (maybe just your lippy might need applying) The cold weather and central heating can play havoc with our skin and hair so invest in treating yourself to a hair treatment at your local hair salon and a replenishing facial to get the glow back in your complexion. Don’t forget your nails, I’ve always believed you are never fully dressed unless your talons are filed and varnished beautifully as your hands are always on show (holding the hot chocolate mug or glass of prosecco) . Lots of salons have shopping and beauty evenings so you ladies can avail of their special offers and see what they have to offer. Most hair, beauty, and nail salons will open late so check out their Christmas hours. So don’t forget to get yourself organised and make those appointments early so you can look forward to your festive season ahead.

Christmas Fashion Diary

Tuesday 6 December – Fashion on the Runway

Shannon Group Charity Committee are hosting a Fashion Show “Fashion on the Runway” on Tuesday December6 at 8pm in the Departures Hall, Shannon Airport, in aid of our two nominated charities for 2016 iCAN and Abalta.

Models – led by one of the region’s most stylish and one of its best-known ladies of the sky, Aer Lingus’ Liz Mangan and the relentless force that is Munster and Ireland flanker Tommy O’Donnell – will give the large attendance the perfect solution to their Christmas shopping conundrums.

Special guest and presenter on the night will be one of Ireland’s best-loved fashion experts, Shannon native, TV presenter, journalist and founder/editor of Exquisite.ie Aisling O’Loughlin.

Fashion this evening will be provided by local boutiques, stores, and designers. Doors will open at 7pm with a number of fashion, beauty and jewelry stands selling their wares on display for all.
