It was a night of style glamour and opulence at the Castletroy Park hotel for the tenth-anniversary celebrations of the much awaited Rainbow Ball. Over 160 people were greeted to pink champagne on the red carpet on arrival while been entertained with music from the Unity Gospel Choir. The style and glamour on display were outstanding and it was great meeting familiar faces and some new ones too. Photographer Darren Ryan was busy photographing everyone while making some happy memories to keep. The room was filled with ladies wearing ball gowns in a variety of colours and styles while red seemed to be the dominate colour of choice on the night. The men looked very “James Bond” in tuxes and suits but the organiser of the Ball Paddy Doyle wowed the crowd with a stunning white suit, white shirt and silk tie. As a curvy woman, I do find it a challenge to find something to suit my shape but I did manage to find a stunning sparkling red ball gown from Quiz Clothing in the Crescent. Guests were then invited into the ballroom for our 4-course meal which was had a magical winter wonderland theme with large candelabras decorated with flowers and each chair draped with purple silk ribbons. The band and DJ entertained us until the early hours and we danced our socks off to classic hits from the 80’s and 90’s. My partner Leigh and I had a fantastic night and congratulations and well done to everyone who attended and made this night a memorable occasion. Here’s to another 10 years!
